Best DU Lectures To Be Online From July

Delhi: Institute of Life Long Learning (ILLL) under Delhi University (DU) is working on a project to provide the best lectures by teachers of various colleges of DU on its website.

ILLL is a part of DU’s effort to encourage e-learning. It is also establishing a studio to record the lectures of teachers and experts to put on the website. The studio for the recording of lectures is at the final stage of its completion. The Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL) has provided all the equipments, which is implementing the project at DU.

A K Bakshi, Director, ILLL, said that students enrolled in any colleges could easily catch the best faculties from various colleges of DU by just logging on to the web portal, once these are put on it. He also added that the idea is to develop quality lectures with high conceptual clarity. Some of these lectures are likely to be put on web by July. The identified teachers in this regard have been asked to submit their documents for such lectures that would be shortlisted for final recording.

As per the sources, the project has been instigated under the ‘Pan-African e-Network Project’, commissioned by the ministry of external affairs in February this year. Moreover, the ministry has advised to develop e-content, including the multimedia material for various disciplines to be provided to the African students.
