Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has notified the availability of application forms for entrance test / exam for admission into various academic courses for the academic year 2009-2010. The last date (with late fee) for submitting the forms is 30 March, 2009.

General courses offered are BSc (Hons) in Mathematics, Biology / BCom (Hons) in Financial Markets Management, BA (Hons) in Arts, Social Science and Shastri (Hons), a special course.
 
Professional courses conducted after 10+2 are BFA / B Music / BSc (Agriculture), and after graduation LLB/BEd./Bed (Special) as well as BPEd.

Date of Examination
Entrance examinations are scheduled to be held during May 19, 2009 to May 28, 2009 for admission to various Undergraduate Courses. Foreign nationals are exempted from appearance in Entrance Test and are required to contact the international Centre.
 
Test Centers
Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Hyderabad are the entrance examination centers. The Test for BPEd, BFA, B Music and Shastri (Hons.) would be held at Varanasi centre. Blind candidates would be allotted Varanasi Centre.

How to Apply
Application forms could be obtained from the office of the controller of examination, BHU, Varanasi on cash payment of Rs 50/- from 11.00 AM to 3.00 PM on working days or by registered post by sending a written request mentioning name of the course, postal address along with a crossed MICR Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque issued by any nationalized / scheduled bank for Rs 100/- in favor of the “Controller of Examination, BHU” payable at Varanasi, indicating name of candidate and course name on its reverse with a self-addressed unstamped envelope of the size 32cmx26cm.
 
The application forms are also be available on cash payment at South Campus, Barkachha, Mirzapur and some other designated offices of the University. The completed application form can be deposited in the envelope supplied with the application form for the purpose to the Office of the Controller of Examinations, Banaras Hindu University, on or before March 23, 2009 (without any late fee) or the completed application form may be sent to the Controller of Examinations Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi by post / courier till March 23, 2009 (without any late fee), with late fee of Rs 150/-, last date of receiving application form is 30.03.2009.
 
The candidates have to pay the entrance fee along with the Application Form through a crossed MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque issued by any nationalised / scheduled bank, in favor of the Controller of Examinations, Banaras Hindu University payable at Varanasi. Entrance fee for general candidates is Rs 400/- (SC/ST Rs 150/-) for all courses and for Shastri (Hons.) course, general candidates have to pay Rs 200 while SC/ST candidates shell out 125/-.
