Calcutta University PGDBPS Admission 2010 Notification

University of Calcutta, also known as Calcutta University, Kolkata, has issued the notification for admission into Postgraduate Diploma in Book Publishing Studies (PGDBPS) programme, offered in the session 2010. Centre for Studies in Book Publishing (CSBP), University of Calcutta in collaboration with Publishers & Booksellers Guild, Kolkata, are offering the programme.
 
 
Date of Exam
August 21, 2010 (Saturday) from 12. 30 pm to 2.00 pm – Date of Written Entrance Test
August 27, 2010 (Friday) at 12.00 Noon - Date Of Interview
 
(Admission is done on the basis of candidate’s performance in the entrance test followed by an interview)
 
Test Centers
Venue for Written Entrance Test: Asutosh Building, College Street Campus
Venue for Interview: Office of CSBP
 
Fee
Course Fee: Rs 10000 for non-sponsored candidates/ Rs 11000 for sponsored candidates/ Rs.25, 000 for NRI/ Foreign candidates.
Note: Library Fee and Examination Fee separate.
 
How to Apply
Interested candidates can download the application form from available in the University’s official website: www.caluniv.ac.in or from the website of the Guild www.kolkatabookfaironline.com. In such cases, applicants are required to enclose with the application a crossed bank draft/ bankers cheque of Rs 200- drawn in favor of ‘PGDBP, CU’ payable at Kolkata. Application forms can also be obtained in person against a cash payment of Rs 200 available for sale at Calcutta University SALES COUNTER, Asutosh Building (Ground Floor), College Street Campus, Kolkata-700073. Thereafter, the duly filled application form must be submitted to the CSBP office at Asutosh Building (First Floor), College Street Campus, Kolkata-700073 between 2-00pm and 6-30 p.m. at the CSBP Office. For more details about the admission and application procedure applicants are required to visit the University’s aforementioned official website.
 
Note: Candidates sponsored by publishing/printing organizations, are required to collect a letter of recommendation issued for the purpose by the Publishers & Booksellers Guild and to submit the same in original along with the applications.
