Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) Admission 2010

Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), a prominent Deemed University, invites applications from candidates, who desire to get admission in Ph.D. and M. Tech. Programmes offered in various disciplines for 2010-2011 academic year. In order to seek admission into Ph. D programs in Engineering and in Science, the candidate should have secured minimum 55% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA in M.E. /M. Tech. or Equivalent and Master of Science or equivalent, respectively. For admission into M. Tech, the candidates are required to score at least 55% aggregate marks or 5.5 CGPA in the qualifying examination. In addition, they are required to possess a valid GATE / UGC- CSIR NET exam score.
 
Admissions for Ph. D programmes will be purely based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance exam conducted by the respective department, followed by interview. In case of admission into M. Tech programme, scores of GATE / UGC- CSIR NET exam and performance in the entrance exam will be considered. Currently, Defence Institute of Advanced Technology offers M. Tech programmes in 12 areas of Defence Technologies. The Deemed University has contributed extensively in the field of Human Resource Development for the defence forces, by imparting high standards of education and comprehensive training on defence technologies to the aspirants.

How to Apply
The interested candidates have to fill the application form, which can be downloaded from the official website www.diat.ac.in. The duly filled application form accompanied with the Demand Draft of the application fee of Rs. 200/- per programme (Rs. 100/- in case of SC / ST candidates), in the favour of Vice Chancellor, Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, PUNE - 25. Payable at State Bank of India, Girinagar Branch (Code 02155), PUNE - 411 025 should reach the Registrar, DIAT, Girinagar, PUNE-411025. The candidates are advised to write their name and department (or name of sub-discipline in case of Ph.D. applicant), for which they are applying on the reverse of the draft. Also, they have to fill in separate applications for different programme.
