DU To Organize Open Sessions On May 15

New Delhi: Delhi University (DU) will organize open day sessions for aspirants as well as their parents beginning May 15, 2010. It will be conducted prior to the commencement of the sale of admission forms. The open day sessions would facilitate students and parents to understand its admission procedure. Also, it would help them learn the eligibility criteria for their desired courses.
 
DU affiliated eight college campuses have been chosen to hold the open sessions. During the open session, a group of students and teachers would give a 40 minute multimedia presentation. The presentation will be based on the structure and functioning of the university and the courses that are available. All open days will have around three to four interactive sessions.
 
In addition, to make the open day sessions more interesting there would be street plays to spread awareness among candidates about the forms, application procedure, various courses and different colleges. Gurpreet Singh Tuteja, Deputy Dean of the students' welfare has said that the street plays that students might find the presentations too much to grasp so information would be provided to them in an interesting way.
