Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) in Jammu has invited applications for admission into following discipline of PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) programme, offered in the upcoming session 2010.
 
ORGANIC CHEMISTRY: Isolation, structure and synthesis of organic natural products from plants and microbial species. Medicinal Chemistry of drug-like scattolds, hit-to-lead optimization and drug-candidate selection. Biotransformation using enzymes from extremophiles and chemical ecology
 
PHARMACOLOGY: General Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics, drug-metabolism and toxicology with focus on the disease areas of cancer, inflammation, diabetes and drug-resistant infections.
 
BIOTECHNOLOGY: Microbial and Plant Biotechnology, Biosynthesis and metabolic engineering of secondary metabolite pathways of medicinal plants, bacteria and fungi.
 
BIO-INFORMATICS: Computer aided 3D structure elucidation, QSAR modeling and in-silico drug design.
 
MEDICINAL AND AROMATIC PLANTS: Agro-technology, Bio-prospecting cultivation of endangered and commercial plant species.

N / A (Admission is done on the basis of walk-in interview scheduled to be held on May 10 & 11, 2010 from 9.00 am onwards. Note: Candidates with CSIR/UGC NET, DBT JRF examination are eligible to be interviewed)
