University of Pune, or Pune University, Pune, Maharashtra, has invited applications for State Eligibility Test 2010, also known as SET Exam. It is an entrance test conducted for Lectureship. As per guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (U.G.C), the Government of Maharashtra, Higher & Technical Education & Employment Department has nominated the University of Pune as the State Agency for conducting the State Eligibility Test (SET).

How to Apply
Interested candidates can submit application form online by visiting the official website: http://setexam.unipune.ac.in. After submitting the online application form a hard copy of the downloaded application form along with the examination fee (including form processing fee) of Rs 550 (Rs 450 for SC/ST/DT/NT/OBC/SBC/PH/VH candidates) in the form of DD from a nationalized bank, drawn in favor of the Registrar University of Pune, payable at Pune, should be send to the respective contact persons of the SET examination centers (address of contact persons are mentioned on the SET examination website). Candidate must write his/her name, application number, subject, subject code and center on the back side of DD. For further details one can visit the aforementioned website.
Note: Candidates are instructed to keep a xerox copy of application form and details of DD with them.
