Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into M Phil (Master of Philosophy) and PhD (Doctorate in Philosophy) programmes in several disciplines, to be offered by different Faculties and Interdisciplinary Biotechnology Unit, in the upcoming session 2011-12. Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks secured in the admission test, followed by an Interview, to be conducted by the University.
Note: Candidates cannot apply in more than two disciplines.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may fill the application form by visiting the official website of the Controller’s Office of AMU: http://www.amucontrollerexams.com/. Foreign candidates, who have valid study VISA, can also apply by visiting the abovementioned website. Candidates must take a printout of the generated PDF copy of the duly filled in application form and submit it to the Chairman/Coordinator/Director of the concerned Department/Centre/Unit, along with requisite documents (list given on the website) and a Demand Draft of Rs 500 drawn in favor of Finance Officer, AMU, Aligarh, payable at Aligarh. As an alternate, one can attach a Cash Receipt of the equivalent amount from AMU Cash Counter (Non refundable), along with the application form, instead of the DD.
Foreign candidates have to send the generated PDF copy of the Application Form, along with the required documents (list given on the website) and a demand draft of US$ 14, drawn in favor of Finance Officer, AMU, Aligarh, payable at Aligarh or Cash Receipt of the same amount from AMU Cash counter (Non refundable) to the Assistant Controller (Admissions), Admission Section, AMU, Aligarh.
