CBSE Announces AIEEE 2012 Dates

New Delhi: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), has announced the dates for All India Engineering Entrance Examination 2012, also known as AIEEE. AIEEE (Offline Examination i.e. Paper/Pen Test) will be held on April 29, 2012 in 68 cities, however, the online examination (i.e. CBT Mode) is scheduled from May 7-25, 2012 in 22 cities only across the country.

This year, CBSE has made few changes in the examination procedures. For instance, Kota has been added as a new examination centre for online examination. As per the sources, CBSE has taken the decision to add Kota due to the high demand from the large student community of the city. In addition, the examinees appearing in online exam will be given concession of Rs 150 to Rs 300 in their examination fees.

Moreover, for the purpose of practice by the examinees, CBSE will also avail mock test software on its website: http://www.cbse.nic.in/ in Dec 2011. This year, CBSE has also decided to accept applications for exam through online mode only and no physical form will be sold. This change has been made to ensure availability of forms through CBSE/AIEEE Website at all places and without any time restriction i.e. availability throughout the day on 24x7 basis.

The examination fee for AIEEE is to be accepted through Credit/Debit Cards or Demand Drafts (DDs). To facilitate the students for filling online application, a facilitation centre will also be opened in each and every city from where physical forms were being sold in the past. For any further details regarding the examination, one can visit the Board’s aforementioned official website.
