CBSE Announces CTET January 2012

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, has invited applications from eligible candidates to register for Central Teacher Eligibility Test January 2012, also known as CTET.
 
Date of Exam
CTET 2012 is scheduled to be held on January 29, 2012 as per the below given schedule:
Paper I - 10.00 to 11.30 hours
Paper II - 13.00 to 14.30 hours

How to Apply
Interested candidates may obtain the Information Bulletin containing Application Form in person from the Designated Branches of Syndicate Bank & institutions (specified on the CBSE’s official website: http://www.cbse.nic.in/) against cash payment of Rs 500 (for General/OBC candidates) and Rs 250 for (SC/ST/Differently abled candidates) from November 5, 2011 onwards. However, one can also submit the online application form made available on the Board’s official website: http://www.cbse.nic.in/ or http://ctet.nic.in/. In case of online application, the prescribed fee can be paid either through credit/debit card or through DD drawn in favour of the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi, drawn on any nationalized bank payable at Delhi. After submitting the online application form, one must take the print out of the computer generated application form/ Confirmation page. The duly filled in application form or the Application Form/Confirmation page (in case on of online application) should be sent, along with DD and requisite enclosure documents, through Registered/Speed Post to the below given address, latest by November 30, 2011.

Note:
  • Candidates must write their registration number, name, address, and mobile/telephone number on the back of the DD.
  • The application must be sent through Registered/Speed Post only. Application form sent by courier shall not be accepted and will be summarily rejected.

Note:
7 days grace time i.e. up to 07.12.2011 for receipt of Application Form will be allowed to the candidates belonging to remote areas viz. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Subdivision of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Island, and Lakshadweep.
