CBSE to Set Special Test Paper for Visually Impaired Students

New Delhi: TheCentral Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to set special test papers for science subjects like physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics, particularly for the visually impaired students.The decision was notified by the board through a circular issued to all its allied schools, recently.
 
According to the circular issued, the Board will set special question paper specifically not containing any visual inputs like diagrams or graphs. As per the sources, the board has decided to set special test papers for visually impaired candidates in order to attract the differently abled students to opt for science in class XI and XII.
 
Furthermore, such candidates will also get a chance to appear fora multiple-choice question paper based on practical content instead of actually taking a practical test in science subjects. Sources confirmed that the new decision is most likely to be applied for class XI students in next year exam in March, while for class XII students in 2013 Board examination.
 
Central Board of Secondary Education, popularly known as CBSE, is the supreme Board of Education of India. The board mainly conducts public examination at the end of Class 10th and Class 12th, for its affiliated schools and also publishes the results of the same.
