DU Placement Cell Extends Last Date to Register till October 31

New Delhi: Good News for DU students seeking placement! Delhi University (DU) placement cell has extended the last date of registration till October 31, 2011. Earlier, the last date of registration was October 15, 2011. As per the sources, the central placement cell has exceeded the deadline in order to give another chance to candidates who could not register themselves within the allotted time.

In addition, sources also informed that till now, DU has registered around 14,000 students with its central placement cell this year, which includes entries from the School of Open Learning (SOL) and from Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB). It is also confirmed that non-collegiate students have enrolled for the first time with the University’s placement cell, this year.

Confirming the figures, Gulshan Sawhney, Deputy Dean of Students' Welfare, DU, said that this year, the cell has already registered 14,000 students till today. Furthermore, Sawhney mentioned that since non-collegiate students come to the university only on weekends, the University, therefore, wants to give them some more time to register their candidature for placement. Earlier, the placement session was scheduled to commence from October 18; however, due to the extension of the deadline, it will now start from November 8, 2011.
