IGNOU to Conduct Entrance Tests on August 21

New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will conduct entrance tests for various courses admission, for the sessions starting from January 2012 on August 21, 2011 (Sunday).
 
The University will conduct tests for management programmes (Openmat-XXX), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Post Basic) courses, offered in the ensuing session 2012. .In addition, the University will be conducting Tier-1 test of UNESCO Science Olympiad on the same date.
 
The Openmat-XXX and the Science Olympiad test is scheduled to be held from 10:00 am to 1.00 p.m, B.Ed. entrance from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm and BSc Nursing (PB) from 2.00 p.m. to 4.30 pm. These entrance test will be conducted in 311 examination centres accommodating 1,74,987 candidates (Openmat: 26,563; B.Ed: 1,41,118; B.Sc. Nursing (PB): 4,262 and UNESCO Science Olympiad: 4,903).
 
The University has already dispatched hall tickets to the candidates. In case of non-receipt of hall ticket by any candidate, the hall ticket can be downloaded from the University website by entering name and date of birth of the candidate and report to the examination centre.
 
Moreover, if the candidates are unable to download the hall ticket, they can contact the regional centre and obtain information of examination centre allocated and report to the examination centre with a proof of submission of entrance test application form along with recent passport size photograph.
 
In such case they have to submit an undertaking at the examination centre stating that if in the event of information furnished by them is found to be incorrect, their candidature shall be cancelled. Candidates must report at the examination centre 45 minutes prior the commencement of the entrance test. The University has deputed central observers in all the examination centres in order to ensure smooth conduct of the entrance test.
