Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination, popularly known as IIT -JEE,is an entrance test conducted for admission into undergraduate courses at IITs all over India. IIT JEE 2011 was conducted on April 10, 2011. The examination is conducted by various IITs by a policy of rotation. This year, the entrance test was conducted by IIT Guwahati.
Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are institutions of national importance established through an Act of Parliament for encouraging excellence in education. Presently, there are fifteen IITs located in Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Mandi, Mumbai, Patna, Ropar and Roorkee.
