Noida: National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on December 16, 2011, has declared the results of Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) examinations. The examinations were held in the month of October 2011. Results are made available on the official website of NIOS: http://www.nios.ac.in/.
Candidates who appeared for the Secondary and Senior Secondary examinations in October 2011 can check their results by logging onto the aforementioned website. In addition, one can view the results name / roll number wise by visiting any of these websites: http://www.indiaresult.com and http://www.examresults.net.
One can also check his/her results through Email, SMS and IVRS. In order to get the results through email, candidates can send a request on the email ID: lsc@nios.ac.in. To receive the results through SMS, one can follow the below mentioned format:
For Class 10 results, Type NIOS10 <roll no> and send it to 5676750 or 56263
For Class 12 results, Type NIOS12 <roll no> and send it to 5676750 or 56263

In contrast to the previous year, an exceptional rise in the number of students appearing for both Class 10 and Class 12 exams through NIOS was noticed. As per sources, about 1,59,270 students took the Senior Secondary exams this October as opposed to 1,42,021 students in the last October. Similarly, 1,38,423 and 1,28,386 students appeared in the Secondary examinations held in October 2011 and October 2010 respectively. The figures, so revealed, indicate a growth of 8% and 12% in Secondary and Senior Secondary candidates appeared in the October 2011 examination.
