UGC NET 2011 to be Held on December 24

New Delhi: TheUniversity Grants Commission (UGC) announces to conduct National Eligibility Test (NET) 2011 on December 24, 2011 (Saturday). The result of UGC NET Exam held on December 26, 2010 is made available in its official website: http://www.ugc.ac.in/

The NET Bureau of the UGC conducts the National Eligibility Test, popularly known as NET, to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research.
 
The exam is conducted the subjects as such - Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science. Recently, it had also declared that Bodo has been included as a subject for the NET Exam.
