Union Minister of Labor & Employment Lays ESIC Nursing College Foundation Stone

Bangalore: Union Minister of Labor & Employment Mallikarjun Kharge laid the foundation stone of ESIC Nursing College and Auditorium at ESI Hospital, Indiranagar, in Bangalore. The function was lead by B N Bacchegowda, Minister of Labor, Karnataka. Mr. Kharge said that the Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) is committed to work for the welfare of workers and improvement in their quality of life and for providing all possible social security to them.
 
As per sources, the ESIC is setting up the college in order to provide the best medical education to the masses. According to an official press release, the Nursing College/hostel project will have state-of-the-art facilities including a separate reception cum waiting hall for hostel and college, dining, reception/reading room, administrative areas, lecture theatres, laboratories and multipurpose hall.
 
The release further informed the sources that the Auditorium project will have a capacity of 1000 persons, reception/pre-function area/VIP lobby. The total build up area of this project is around 16000 sqm and will be completed in 12 months. The estimated cost of this project is around Rs 82 crores, the release informed. Further, sources informed that P C Mohan, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha and G Parameshwar, President, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee was also presented at the ceremony.
