UPSC CDS Exam (I) 2011 Final Result Out

New Delhi: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), has published the final result of Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (I) 2011, today i.e. on November 16, 2011. The results are made available on the Commission’s official website: http://www.upsc.gov.in/. 
 
Candidates listed in the results have been finalized on the basis of their performance in the written examination held in February 2011 and SSB interviews held by Service Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence. The examination was held in order to select eligible candidates for admission to:-
  • 132nd Course of Indian Military Academy-Dehradun
  • Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and
  • 191st Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course.
The number of vacancies, as indicated by the Government, is 250 for Indian Military Academy (including 32 vacancies reserved for NCC 'C' Certificate (Army Wing) holders), 40 for Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala (2 for Hydro/38 for Executive General Service) (including 06 vacancies reserved for NCC 'C' Certificate (Naval Wing) holders), and 32 for Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-flying) Training Course.
 
The results of Medical Examination of candidates have not been taken into account in preparing the merit list. In addition, the candidature of all candidates (listed in the result) is provisional as verification of date of birth and educational qualifications of candidates is still under process by the Army Headquarters.
 
Listed candidates are requested to forward their certificates, in original, in support of Date of Birth / Educational Qualification etc, certificates claimed by them, along with attested photo-stated copies thereof to Army Headquarters / Naval Headquarters / Air Headquarters, as per their choice. Moreover, in case, there is any change of address, the candidates are advised to promptly intimate directly to the Army Headquarters / Naval Headquarters / Air Headquarters.
