Utkal University, Bhubaneshwar, Orissa, has invited applications from eligible candidates for PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) Entrance Test and Post Doctoral Registration, to be conducted by the University in the ensuing session 2011-12. Post Doctoral Registration will be made in D Litt (Doctor of Literature) / D Sc (Doctor of Science) / LLD (Doctor of Laws) disciplines. Admission into PhD programme will be made on the basis of entrance test, conducted by the University.

Candidates seeking Post Doctoral Registration can also download the prescribed application form from the abovementioned website. One has to enclose a Demand Draft of Rs 200 (for PhD) and Rs 400 (Post Doctoral Registration) drawn in favor of Comptroller of Finance, Utkal University, payable at State Bank of India, Utkal University Campus Branch, Vani Vihar, Bhubaneshwar. Candidates applying for PhD programme should submit the application form along with the DD of requisite amount at the nodal center (details given on the website). Those applying for Post Doctoral Registration should submit the application and DD to the Controller of Examination, Utkal University, Vani Vihar, Bhubaneshwar.
