Yogi Vemana University (YVU) was upgraded by the Government of Andhra Pradesh through an Act of AP Legislative Assembly on March 9, 2006. The University is located at Ganganapalli village and Panchayat about 15 km from Kadapa city on Kadapa-Pulivendla Road. The campus is spread over 450 acres of lush green land.
