CBSE CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) May 2012

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi, has issued the notification inviting applications for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test May 2012, also known as CTET May 2012. CTET May 2012 will be conducted for the domicile candidates belonging to the Union Territories of Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. The examination will be based on in two separate papers - Paper I and Paper II. CTET is conducted to select eligible candidates as teachers in the schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Tibetan Schools etc.), unaided private schools and schools owned as well as maintained by the state Government/local bodies as State Government can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET).
 
Note: However, qualifying the CTET will not be the only criteria for recruitment/employment for any person because it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

How to apply
Interested candidates should apply online on the prescribed application form by logging on to the board’s official websites: http://www.cbse.nic.in/ or http://www.ctet.nic.in or http://www.dnh.nic.in or http://www.daman.nic.in/. Candidates should fill in the appropriate details and information after carefully reading the instructions mentioned. One must take the print out of the computer generated confirmation page after the successful submission of the data.
 
There after, candidates required to deposit the application fee is Rs 500 (for General/OBC category) and Rs 250 (for SC/ST/Differently able category) which can be paid in the form of Demand Draft (DD) drawn from any nationalized bank in favour of “The Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi” payable at Delhi. Each one must write his/her name, address, registration number and mobile/telephone under on the back of the DD. The duly completed confirmation page in all respect along with the DD must be submitted in DUPLICATE at the designated centers (details available on the website link: http://ctet.nic.in/PDF/LIST%20OF%20DESIGNATED%20CENTRES.pdf) in person, on or before April 10, 2012 in between 10:00 am to 3:00pm. For any further details regarding admission, eligibility criteria and application procedure, candidates are requested to visit the Board’s aforementioned official websites.
