The date of Central Universities’ Common Entrance Test 2012, also known as CUCET, has been announced. The test being held jointly by the following seven Central Universities across India, for admission into over 99 Integrated, Post-Graduate & Research programmes in these universities. Admission to the course will be made on the basis of two modes of test, Online and Offline.

Note: One must note that examination will be conducted at a centre only if a minimum of 25 candidates are appearing at that centre. In case of non-availability of requisite number, the exam centre will be merged with the next nearest centre. Candidates will have to appear at the new centre at their own cost.

How to Apply
Interested candidates can apply either offline or online, as per the following guidelines:
Online Application: In order to apply online, one can visit the website: http://www.cucet.co.in/. The direct link for online application / registration form is: http://oamslive.blueshiftindia.com/cucet/website/. Application fee for online mode is Rs 250 (for General/OBC applicants) and Rs 200 (for SC / ST applicants) which is to be deposited at selected branches of Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) using Challan (downloadable from the website). Fee can also be paid by cash at the Cash counters of the participating Central Universities (for more details, one can refer the website). After successfully submitting the online application form, one must take a printout of the acknowledgement slip. The printout of the acknowledgement slip along with payment Challan should be sent to “BLUESHIFT, 6th floor East Wing, Chamiers Towers 23 & 24, Chamiers Road, Chennai - 600 018” latest by May 17, 2012.
 
Offline Application: Candidates may obtain the application form from the any of the respective Universities’ sales counters, on cash payment of Rs 300 (for General / OBC candidates) and Rs 250 (for SC / ST candidates). The prescribed application form can also be downloaded from the website: http://www.cucet.co.in/ or from the website of any of the seven participating Universities. Direct link for form is: http://www.cucet.co.in/Application.pdf. However, in case of downloaded form, it may be submitted in person or through post to the nearest participating Central University along with a payment authentication Challan. If the form is obtained in person on payment, then it should be submitted to the same University from where it has been purchased. No enclosures are to be given along with the filled application. The last date for receipt of online and offline application is also May 17, 2012.
