Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER), Mumbai, Maharashtra has invited applications from eligible candidates for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test 2012, popularly known as MHT-CET. MHT-CET is a common entrance test conducted by Government of Maharashtra for admission into all Health Sciences, Engineering and Pharmacy degree courses, to be offered at government / government aided colleges and in a few unaided private colleges who accept MHT-CET scores.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may obtain the application form along with brochure from the respective Junior College & High School (For those who have appeared / passed HSC (12th) or equivalent examination from Maharashtra) and Divisional Authorities (For candidates who have appeared / passed HSC (12th) or equivalent examination from outside Maharashtra). Aspirants have to pay an application fee (non-refundable) of Rs 700 (for open category and all outside Maharashtra candidates) and Rs 500 (for reserve category candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only).
 
Outside Maharashtra candidates have to pay the application fee in the form of DD (Demand Draft) drawn on any scheduled bank in favor of Competent Authority, MHT-CET, Mumbai, payable at Mumbai. To know about the competent authority and divisional authority offices, one can visit the official website of DMER: http://www.dmer.org/. After paying the application fee, candidates will get an application form and three separate brochures for (Engineering, Health Science, and Pharmacy). One has to read all the information before filling up the application form.
 
The duly filled in application form should be submitted to the competent authority (refer the abovementioned website of DMER to know about the addresses of competent authorities) on or before the last date of submission. For further details regarding admission procedure, eligibility criteria, application procedure and fee, one can visit the aforementioned official website of DMER.
