IIT Delhi Announces JAM 2013

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, New Delhi, has invited application from eligible candidates for Joint Admission Test for M Sc 2013, popularly known as JAM. JAM is an All India level entrance test being conducted by IITs and IISc Bangalore for admission into the below mentioned degree programmes, to be offered at all the eleven IITs and IISc Bangalore.

Date of Exam
JAM will be conducted on February 10, 2013 as per the following schedule:
Session I- 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Session II- 2:00 pm to 5:00

How to apply
Interested candidates can apply through any of the following modes:
 
Online Mode: One can apply online by visiting the IIT-Delhi's official website: http://www.gate.iitd.ac.in/. After filling up the online application / registration form, candidates are required to take a print out of the duly filled-in online application form and submit the same along with prescribed application fee in the form of Demand Draft (DD) drawn on any nationalized bank in favor of Chairman JAM, IIT Delhi, payable at New Delhi. The application fee for online registration is Rs 1100 for General/OBC category male candidates and Rs 500 for SC / ST / PD candidates.
 
Offline Mode: Candidates may obtain the application form and information brochure from the designated branches of Canara Bank (list is available at http://www.gate.iitb.ac.in/2k12/jam/bank.html) or IITD JAM office on cash payment of application fee of Rs 1200 for General/OBC category male candidates and Rs 600 for SC/ST/PD candidates. In order to obtain the application form from the IITD JAM office, one need to submit a DD of the prescribed amount drawn on any nationalized bank in favor of Chairman, JAM, IIT Delhi, payable at New Delhi.
 
The duly filled-in application form with appropriate enclosures (details are given on the website) should be sent by Speed Post (preferably) or by Registered Post to 'The Organizing Chairman, JAM 2013, IIT Delhi, (Block-I, Ground Floor), Hauz Khas, New Delhi- 110 016 latest by October 30, 2012. The form can also be handed over personally to GATE-JAM Office, IIT Delhi before the due date. For more details regarding admission, eligibility criteria and application procedure, one can visit the aforementioned website.
 
Note: This year, female candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
