University Grants Commission (UGC) National Educational Testing (NET) Bureau, New Delhi, has invited applications from eligible candidates to apply for National Eligibility Test June 2012, also known as NET. The test is being conducted in order to select eligible candidates for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

How to Apply
Interested candidates are required to apply online by filling in the online application made available on UGC’s official website: http://www.ugc.ac.in/ or http://ugcnetonline.in/. The direct link for online application is: http://ugcnetonline.in/profile_id.php. After successfully submitting the online application, one must take a printout of the same. The examination fee is Rs 450 (for General candidates), Rs 225 [for OBC candidates (non-creamy layer, as per the central list of OBC available on website: http://www.ncbc.nic.in/)] and Rs 110 (for SC / ST / PH / VH candidates).
 
The fee is to be submitted using Bank Challan (downloadable from the website) in any branch of State Bank of India along with bank charges (commission) of Rs 20. The bank will retain its copy and return the other two copies of the Challan to the candidate. The candidate has to attach the UGC copy of the Challan with the printout of online Application Form which he / she has to submit to the Registrar of UGC-NET Centre opted by the candidate. Candidates must affix their recent identical passport-size photographs, at the places indicated, on the printout of Online Application Form and sign across the photograph after it is affixed so that a part of the signature spreads over the Application Form beyond the photograph.
 
Besides, it should be duly attested by the Head of the University Department / Principal of the College / Class-I Gazetted Officer. The duly acknowledged printout of the online application form along with all requisite enclosure documents (detailed list mentioned on the website) and Challan copy should be sent to the selected center, latest by May 7, 2012. The envelope containing the Application Form should be super-scribed as “UGC NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST FOR JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR LECTURESHIP, JUNE, 2012”.
