AMU Extends Last Date of Application for B.P.Ed 2013-14 Program

Aligarh Muslim University extends last date of application submission for admission into B.P.Ed program till April 22, 2013. Earlier, the last date of submission was April 6, 2013. In addition, the University has also incorporated few other major changes in the admission criteria for the B.P.Ed programme, to be offered in the upcoming session 2013-14.
 
As per Notification of National Council of Teacher Education, New Delhi, notified vide Gazette of India dated July 26, 2010, the Vice Chancellor on behalf of the Academic Council has approved the modifications in qualifying examinations for admission to BPED course, for the session 2013-14. The earlier qualifications printed in the guide to admissions 2013-14 may be treated as redundant, the revised qualifications and the new guidelines are to be read as follows:

Bachelor’s Degree with Physical Education as an elective subject with fifty-five per cent marks.
Or
Bachelor’s Degree with Physical Education as an elective subject with fifty percent marks and participation in National or State or Inter-University competitions in sports or games or athletics recognized by Association of Indian Universities or Indian Olympic Association (IOA).
Or
Bachelor’s Degree with fifty per cent marks and having participated in National or State or Inter University Sports or games or athletics.
Or
For deputed in-service candidates (i.e. trained physical education teachers/coaches) Graduation with forty-five per cent marks and at least three years of teaching experience.
