Department of Education, Central Institute of Education (CIE), University of Delhi, also known as Delhi University (DU), New Delhi, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) programme in Education, to be offered in the upcoming session commencing from January 2013. Selection will be made on the basis of merit obtained in the entrance test, followed by interview, to be conducted by CIE, DU.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may download the prospectus and application form from the official website of CIE: or DU: The direct link to download the same is: In addition, candidates have to pay an entrance test fee of Rs 100 (Rs 25 for SC / ST / PH). The duly filled in hard copy of the downloaded form, complete in all respect, along with statement of purpose (12 copies) and DD, should be submitted (in person) or sent (by registered post) to Room No. 4, Department of Education, University of Delhi, 33 Chhatra Marg, University of Delhi, Delhi - 110 007, latest by January 24, 2013. In case candidates are sending the application form by post, they should attach a DD of the prescribed amount drawn on any nationalized bank in favor of the Registrar, University of Delhi, payable at Delhi, along with the application form.
