DAE - BARC Training School OCES / DGFS Admission 2013

Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) - Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Training School, Mumbai, Maharashtra, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into one year Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates & Science Postgraduates (OCEGS) and two year DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates and Physics Postgraduates (DGFS), to be offered in the ensuing session 2013. Admission procedure for the abovementioned programmes will comprises of screening test (for short-listing the candidates) and interview. Final selection of the candidates will be solely made on the basis of their performance in interview.
 
Note:
Screening of the candidates is based on two alternative methods: Entrance test or GATE score. Those who secure good score in GATE will be directly selected for interview. However, an entrance test will be conducted by the institute on the following date for the remaining candidates.
 
Date of Exam
For Science Disciplines:
Written test for science disciplines will be conducted on February 24, 2013
Interview of the selected candidates will start from the 2nd week of April, 2013.

For Engineering Disciplines:
Online test for engineering disciplines will be conducted in the last week of April, 2013.
Interview of the selected candidates will start from the 2nd week of May 2013, onwards.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may apply online only by following the below mentioned instructions:
 
For Science Candidates:
They are required to visit the official website of BARC Training School: http://oces.hbni.ac.in/ and submit their application. An application fee of Rs 250 is to be paid by General / OBC candidates. However, candidates belonging to SC / ST and Dependents of Defence Personnel Killed in Action (DODPKIA) and Physically Challenged category are exempted from paying any application fee. For paying the application fee, one has to download the three fold Challan from the abovementioned website and make the payment at any branch of the State Bank of India (SBI). On successful payment of application fee, Bank will provide a Unique Transaction Number (UTN) to the candidates, which will be used in the application procedure.
 
For Engineering Candidates:
One needs to visit the official website of BARC Training School: http://oces.hbni.ac.in/ after March 1, 2013. Engineering candidates are advised to log on to the website only after abovementioned date of application, as before that any applications made by them will not be considered. Amount of application fee and mode of payment will be same as for the science candidates'.
