The School of Agriculture IGNOU has issued notification for admission into one year Diploma in Watershed Management (DWM) & six months Certificate in Water Harvesting and Management (CWHM), for the session commencing from July 2013. The last date of application will be closed on June 15, 2013.
As per sources, the diploma programme has been supported by the Department and Land Resources, Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. The eligibility criteria set for admissions into the diploma programme is 10+2 pass or the learner should have completed the Bachelor Preparatory Programme (BPP) from IGNOU while for admission into the certificate programme applicants must be 10th pass.
Moreover, students applying for the diploma programme have an added advantage. The diploma programme can be completed in one year and can be extended upto a duration of four years. It also has a provision of reimbursement of fee to the successful candidates. 50 per cent fee concession is given to rural and below poverty line urban students by IGNOU.
Interested candidates can visit IGNOU website- www.ignou.ac.in or contact nearest IGNOU Regional Centre/Study Centre. One can obtain the prospectus from Regional Centres in person in Rs.200. The same can also be obtained by post by sending a DD of Rs 250 in favour of IGNOU, New Delhi, to Registrar (Student Registration Division), Indira Gandhi National Open University, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-68. Applicants can also download the same from the university website www.ignou.ac.in.
