Jammu University Notifies M Sc Biotechnology Admission 2013

School of Biotechnology, University of Jammu, located in the state of Jammu & Kashmir, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into M Sc (Master of Science) Biotechnology course, to be offered in the ensuing academic session 2013. There are 12 seats available for admission into the course run by the University. Admission to all the seats will be made on the basis of merit obtained by candidates in the Combined Entrance Examination for Biotechnology (CEEB) 2013. The test is being conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.
 
Note: In addition, three candidates will be admitted under NRI / Industry sponsored category for which admission will be made on the basis of Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET). The advertisement for which will be issued by the Jammu University at a later date.
 
Date of Exam
CEEB 2013 is scheduled to be held on May 21, 2013.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may obtain the application form and information brochure (for JNU CEEB) through post by sending a postal request along with a Bank Draft (valid for six months) of Rs 260 (for one set of Application Form and Prospectus) drawn in favor of “Jawaharlal Nehru University” payable at New Delhi only from the Section Officer (Admissions), Room No. 28, Administrative Block, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi - 110067. The request should accompany a self-addressed unstamped envelope of size 30 x 25 cm, indicating clearly on the top the programme for which the application form is required. Candidates are advised not to send their request for set of application form and prospectus through courier. In addition, they are also notified that there will be no cash counter for sale of the application form and prospectus.
 
However, candidates can also apply online by filling in the online application form by visiting the University’s official website: http://www.jnu.ac.in/. The online application portal will remain open till March 23, 2013. After successfully submitting the online application, one must take a printout of the auto-generated confirmation page. The duly acknowledge confirmation page, along with requisite documents and application fee (mentioned on the website) should be sent by registered post / speed post, to “Section Officer (Admissions), Room No. 28, Administrative Block, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi - 110067 (and not to any other participating University)”. The last date of receipt of application forms at JNU for both the modes, i.e., online as well as offline, is March 28, 2013.
