JNCASR Announces POCE/POBE 2013

Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore, has invited applications from eligible candidates for the following fellowship programmes, to be offered in the ensuing session 2013. The programmes are scheduled to be conducted in summer for 6-8 weeks (mid-May to July). These programmes are mainly aimed at infusing creativity and scientific temper in undergraduates, and involves lectures, laboratory projects and research work.
 
Selected students are expected to work at the Centre for three consecutive summers, and will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 6000 per month, during their period of stay at the Centre. Upon successful completion of the programme, the students will receive a Diploma in Chemistry or Biology from the Centre. Those who complete the POCE/POBE programme with outstanding performance, will be eligible for admission to the MS PhD programme offered by the Centre, subject to satisfactory performance in the interview.

Note: Candidates must ensure that their completed application form is accompanied by two confidential reports from the Referees (in sealed envelopes) and also attested copies of statement of marks.
