Last date to Apply for IGNOU’s Programme on Sustainable Management of Biodiversity Closes May 15

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU, New Delhi, has invited applications for admission into Appreciation Programme on Sustainable Management of Biodiversity. The last date of application will close on May 15, 2013. The course will be offered with an intake of 50 students (the first come first chance).

The course is aimed at promoting awareness and capacity building for sustainable management of biodiversity for mainstreaming biodiversity into the daily lives of individuals. The Appreciation Programme on Sustainable Management of Biodiversity is an online programme of one month duration and consists of four blocks. The programme can be completed in a minimum period of one month and a maximum period of six months. The block deals with the biodiversity and its importance, agrobiodiversity, threats to biodiversity and sustainable use of biodiversity.

As per a press release issued by the University, the eligibility to get admission to this course would be a Graduation degree in any subject. Besides, the post graduate students, researchers, scientists, engineers, medical doctors, stake holders, policy makers, administrators, and other professionals with requisite educational qualifications will be given preference. The fee for the programme is Rs 600.
