Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) in New Delhi has announced the date of National Eligibility Test 2009, also known as NET. It is conducted twice a year in the month of June and December for admission into Junior Research Fellowship and eligibility for lectureship in Indian Universities and Colleges.

How to Apply
Interested candidates can apply online in the website: www.csirhrdg.res.in. In order to apply online applicants are required to download Bank Challan Performa from the above website and then deposit the requisite examination fee in any of the Indian Bank branches through out the country. The examination fee for the online application is same as mentioned below. After the successful submission of the online application form one must take a print out of it. Thereafter, applicants are required to paste his / her recent black & white photograph, along with his / her signature at the required space, attach requisite certificates and send along with CSIR marked copy of fee deposited Bank Challan in an envelop to Sr. Controller of Examinations, Human Resource Development Group, Examination Unit, CSIR Complex, Library Avenue, Pusa, New Delhi-110012 so as to reach on or before the last date mentioned. One can get the application form and information brochure through Value Payable Post (VPP) from the Indian Bank, 3/1, West Patel Nagar, New Delhi - 110008, by sending a crossed DD of Rs 400 for General Class, Rs 200 for OBC and Rs 100 for SC/ST candidates (as the case may be) drawn in favor of Indian Bank, West Patel Nagar, New Delhi payable at New Delhi.The above mentionedbank will entertain the request for forms through post from August 25, 2009 to September 16, 2009 only. The application form and information brochure can be obtained from branches of the Bank notified (within the prescribed dates) against a cash payment of Rs 400 for General Class, Rs 200 for OBC and Rs SC / ST candidates.
