How to Apply
Candidates can purchase the application form from the selected Head Post Offices / Post Offices (Specified in Appendix-III of the Notice published in the Employment News/ Rozgar Samachar) throughout the country by making a payment of Rs 20. Forms available are meant for single use and for one examination only.Candidates are required to applyin theCommon Application Form devised by the Commission exclusively for its examinations. The completely filled application form must reach the Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi - 110069 in any of the ways by hand/Post/Speed Post/Courier on or before the last date mentioned. General Class & OBC candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 100 and SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from paying the fee. However, in case of the candidates residing aboard/remote areas of the country the last for receipt application form is February 16 2009, specified in the Notice, either by Post/ Speed Post only (Not by Hand or by Courier).
Candidate can immediately approach the concerned Post Master or UPSC’s Forms Supply Monitoring Cell in the contact number -011-23389366/ Fax No - 011- 23387310, regarding any difficulty arises in obtaining the application form from the selected HPOs/ Pos. Moreover, candidate having any quires or require any guidance can contact the UPSC’s Facilitation Counter near ‘C’ Gate of its campus in person or can call in the numbers - 011-23385271 / 011-23381125/ 011-23098543 on working days between 10.00 am and 6.00 pm. One can also opt to visit the Commissions website:http://www.upsc.gov.in and can get details about the examination as well as information about registration of their applications, venue of the examination and results etc.
