National Institute for Plant Genome Research (NIPGR) New Delhi has issued the notification for admission into the PhD program for the academic session 2009-2010. The PhD program of the institute provides with an opportunity of conducting advanced researches in the frontier areas of Plant Science such as Developmental Biology, Signal Transduction, Stress Biology, Structural, Functional and Nutritional Genomics, Developing Transgenic Crop Plants etc

How to Apply
Application should be typed on A-4 size plain paper in the format given (Form downloaded from website: http://www.nipgr.res.in/). Item 3 and 6 in the format should be filled in as shown in the Senior Secondary School Certificate or equivalent. Each page in the typed application form must have the candidate's signature. Thereafter, the completely filled application form along with a DD of Rs 300 for General Class and Rs 100 for SC/ST candidates (with the caste certificate proof) drawn in favor of Director, National Institute of Plant Genome Research, New Delhi must be send to the The Director, National Institute of Plant Genome Research, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, J.N.U. Campus, Post Box No. 10531, New Delhi-110 067 on or before the last date mentioned. Applications must have the essential enclosures such as attested copies of certificates and mark sheets mentioning the division obtained, two passport size photos. One of these photos should be signed by the candidate and pasted on the application form, while the other should be enclosed. Also, the documentary evidence for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) if applicable, must be send along with other specified enclosures.
