National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar invites applications for admission to PhD programs in its four schools of basis sciences, for the academic session that commences from December 2009. The candidates, who have qualified CSIR-NET/GATE/JEST/NBHM or equivalent examination, can apply for the PhD program in School of Biological Sciences, School of Mathematical Sciences, School of Chemical Sciences and School of Physical Sciences at NISER Bhubaneswar, Orissa.

How to Apply
Interested candidates can download the application form free of cost, from the website www.niser.ac.in. The application form can also be obtained by post, or in person, from the Academic Section, National Institute of Science Education and Research Institute of Physics Campus, P.O. Sainik Schoo, Bhubaneswar – 751005. If the candidate wants to get the form via post, he/she will have to enclose a self-addressed envelope (A4 size, 21 cm X 30 cm), affixed with postage stamps worth Rs 22.
Those wishing to apply for more than one program should use separate application forms for each course. Thereafter, the candidate should send the duly filled application form along with essential enclosures to the aforementioned address. He/she can also send the scanned copy of duly filled application form (typed or hand-written) to registrar@niser.ac.in. For more details regarding the admission, one can log in to www.niser.ac.in
