Candidates are selected on the basis of their scores/marks in National Entrance Examination for Design (NEED). However, the students who have been unable to get the cut-off score in NEED, can appear in the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) conducted by the institute.

How to Apply
Candidates can download the prospectus and application form from the website: www.pearlacademy.com. The completely filled application form along with a crossed DD of Rs 1000 must be send to the Pearl Academy of Fashion, A-21/13, Naraina Industrial Area, Phase-II, New Delhi 110028. One can get the application form and prospectus against a payment or a crossed DD of Rs 1000, available at the Academy's counter at Delhi, Jaipur & Chennai and its selected outlets. Outstation candidates can obtain the prospectus and application form by sending a request for the application form, along with a crossed DD for Rs 1150 at the Academy's address. The Academy will send the forms on receipt of such a request by registered post. Application form and prospectus are also available in the selected branches of Axis Bank (list of bank branches are available in the website www.pearlacademy.com.). The Academy has tied up with Axis Bank for online payments through credit cards/debit cards.Thereafter, the completely filled application form must reach the Academy in person or courier, accompanied by a DD of the prescribed fee drawn in favor of Pearl Academy of Fashion, payable at Delhi. The examination Registration Number is normally communicated by mail to the applicants. However, in case one doesn't receive the Registration Number by May 28, 2009, they are instructed to contact - Pearl Academy of Fashion, A-21/13, Naraina Industrial Area, Phase-II, New Delhi 110028.
