Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna (HNB) Garhwal University is situated at Srinagar in Pauri Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. It was established in 1973 under the UP State Act as Garhwal University. The university was renamed as Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University in 1989 in the remembrance of the leading statesman of the country and the son of the soil, Shri Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna.
