New Delhi: On Friday i.e. March 5, 2010, Union Service Public Commission (UPSC) declared the result of the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination held in July 2009. List of successful candidates in order of the merit obtained, contains names of 84 candidates, including 33 belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBCs), 12 to the Scheduled Castes (SCs) and 07 to the Scheduled Tribes (STs). Results are available in UPSC’s official website: http://www.upsc.gov.
According to the statement of a UPSC official, the government will make the appointment to the service, according to the number of vacancies available. The number of vacancies intimated by the government is eighty-five. Result of one candidate has been withheld. The candidature of twenty-one candidates with Roll No. 00804, 02170, 02988, 04149, 06435, 06579, 07378, 07560, 08166, 08693, 10412, 11367, 12738, 12751, 12807, 13847, 14885, 17664, 27879, 32788 & 33298 is provisional.
