IGNOU Launches 3 New Courses

New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will now conduct three new programmes including Actuarial Economics, Applied Quantitative Finance and Environmental Economics, for the academic session 2010.
 
According to a University spokesperson, the courses will be conducted through joint collaboration between IGNOU and the Madras School of Economics (MSE). Aspirants can apply for these courses at the School of Social Sciences at IGNOU. Moreover, these programmes will be conducted on a full-time on-campus basis along with face-to-face teaching at the IGNOU campus at Maidan Garhi and MSE, Chennai.
 
The minimum eligibility criterion for these programmes is graduation in any discipline, with Mathematics or Statistics as main subjects. To be admitted, the students are required to appear for a Common Entrance Test, which will be conducted at Chennai, New Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai on July 14, 2010.
