The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) has announced the date of Joint Admission Test for M Sc 2011, popularly known as JAM. JAM 2011 will be conducted on the date mentioned below for admission into various branches of Master of Science (M Sc), Joint M Sc-PhD, M Sc-PhD Dual Degree and other post-bachelor degree programmes, to be offered in the ensuing session 2011. Joint Admission Test for M Sc or JAM is being conducted by IITs on rotational basis.

How to Apply
Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the IIT-Roorkee's official website: http://www.iitr.ac.in/. After filling the online application form, candidates are required to take the print out of the same. Candidates have to submit the completed application form along with a DD for the appropriate fee drawn in favor of the Chairman, JAM, IIT Roorkee on any Nationalized Bank payable at Roorkee. Candidates can obtain the application form from the designated branches of Punjab National Bank (list of designated bank is available at: http://www.iitr.ac.in/jam/uploads/File/Information%20Brochure%20JAM%202011.pdf) on cash payment of application fee of Rs 1000 for General/OBC category male candidates, Rs 900 for General/OBC category female candidates and Rs 500 for SC/ST/PD candidates. One can obtain the application form through post by sending a written request along with a DD of Rs 1000 for General/OBC category male candidates, Rs 900 for General/OBC category female candidates and Rs 500 for SC/ST/PD candidates drawn in favor of the Chairman, JAM, IIT Roorkee on any Nationalized Bank payable at Roorkee and with a self-addressed slip (11.0 cm * 6.00 cm).
