Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University, New Delhi, has invited applications for the admission into PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) programme, offered in its Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences & Centre for Theoretical Physics, for the upcoming session 2010.

Interested candidates can download the application form from the University's official website http://jmi.ac.in.Thereafter, the duly filled application form along with the list of essential documents and a must be submitted in the respective centers with a DD of Rs 1000 drawn in favor of Registrar, Jamia Millia Islamia payable at Delhi/New Delhi. For further details candidates can visit the university’s aforementioned website.
List of the Essential Documents
- Attested copies of all mark sheets & degrees of graduation & post graduation examinations.
- Proof of date of birth.
- Character certificate in original issued from the institution last attended.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from employer (if employed).
- If the candidate is unemployed an undertaking on Non-judicial stamp paper Rs 10 duly attested by Notary Public/Oath Commissioner.
- A consent letter from the co-supervisor with full correspondence address (if any).
- All foreign students are required to submit a certificate for HIV test duly attested by the Medical Officer, Ansari Health Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.
- Proof of residence (permanent & local).
