National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad (Gujarat), has invited applications for the admission into the following disciplines of Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD) and Postgraduate Diploma Programme in Design (PGDPD), to be offered in the ensuing session 2011. Admissions in GDPD programme are made on the basis of National Entrance Exam, to be held on the date mentioned below, followed by a studio test/interview scheduled to be held from April 20-25, 2011 (tentative). Admissions in PGDPD programme will be made on the basis of Design Aptitude Test scheduled to be held on the date mentioned below, followed by a studio test/interview, to be held from April 20 - May 6, 2011 (tentative).

How to Apply
General category candidates can download the application forms from the institute's official website: http://www.nid.edu/. The downloaded form completed in all respects should be submitted along with a DD of Rs 1500 drawn on any nationalized bank in favor of National Institute of Design payable at Ahmedabad. One can obtain the same from the selected branches of Bank of India (list available at: http://www.nid.edu/download/NID_admissions_brochure_2011-12.pdf) on payment of Rs 1500 towards the cost of the form plus Rs 50 as bank charges.
Reserved category candidates can obtain the form at concessional rates from Admissions Office, NID, Ahmedabad. These forms can be obtained from Admissions Office directly by sending a DD of Rs 750 drawn on any nationalized bank in favor of National Institute of Design payable at Ahmedabad. Such candidates should send an attested copy of the relevant certificate from competent authority and a self addressed envelope of 9 * 12 size with Rs 40 stamps affixed.
