Punjab Technical University (PTU) has announced the date of Combined Entrance Test 2010, for admission to first year of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharma) courses. The entrance test is conducted by the University to fill 85% seats in its various affiliated institutes/colleges. For the remaining 15% seats, the candidates are selected on the basis of AIEEE merit list.
The candidates, who are bonafide residents of Punjab, can apply to appear in PTU CET 2010. For B. Pharma, the entrance test is conducted for only those colleges that are affiliated to PTU. On the other hand, Punjab Technical University conducts the entrance test for admission in engineering courses of the following universities or their affiliated colleges:
- Punjab Technical University (Jalandhar)
- Guru Nanak Dev University (Amritsar)
- Punjabi University (Patiala)
- Punjab Agricultural University (Ludhiana)

How to apply
Applicants can collect the information brochure-cum-application form from PTU Kapurthala Campus/ PTU Jalandhar Campus/ Directorate of Technical Education Plot No-1, Sector-36 A, Chandigarh/ Punjab Bhawan/ Room No 708, B-Block Copernicus Marg, New Delhi. The forms are also available at various institutes/colleges affiliated to PTU and selected branches of Punjab National Bank, for the payment of Rs 550 cash in person or Rs 600 by post, through a DD drawn in favor of the Registrar, PTU, payable at Jalandhar.
