Raman Research Institute PhD Entrance Exam 2010

PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy)
  • Astronomy and Astrophysics, including theoretical, observational and experimental research
  • Soft Condensed Matter, including physics of nanomaterails, surfactant systems and biophysics
  • Theoretical Physics, including quantum interactions, light scattering and non linear optics
  • Light and Matter Physics, including statistical mechanics and quantum and classical gravitational
  • Chemistry of liquid crystals, soft matter, surfaces and interfaces 
Date of Exam
Second week of June [Admission is done on the basis of merit obtained bt the candidate in the written test, followed by interview. Candidate with GATE / NET or Advanced GRE exam (in the relevant subjects) score are exempted from appearing the written test. Also, candidates appearing JEST 2010 will be automatically considered for admission. )
 
Note: For applicants interested in research in Chemistry JEST qualification is not mandatory.
