Tata Institute of Fundamental Research invites applications from the candidates, who desire to seek admission into Graduate Training Programme for 2010 (GTP-2010), which escorts to Ph.D. degree in High Energy Physics. The course, commencing from August 2010, is offered in collaboration with India-based Neutrino Observatory (INO) Collaboration. The program will focus on imparting high standards of education in both experimental physics techniques and theory. INO related work can form basis for Ph. D. degree in several collaborated institutes. Those with extra ordinary performance can be employed in the INO project after completion of their Ph.D. degree.
In order to seek admission, the candidate should have passed either M.Sc. degree in Physics or B.E. /B. Tech. degree in any of the following-Electronics, E & CE, Instrumentation, Electrical engineering with not less than 55% aggregate marks. Apart from this, the applicant should have a valid GATE, CSIR-UGC, JEST, or BARC exams/entrance tests scores of 2009 or 2010. The scores are required to be mentioned in the application. Those, who do not possess valid score of any of the abovementioned entrance exam, have to appear in written test at interview place.
