University of Allahabad, also known as Allahabad University in Uttar Pradesh, has invited applications from eligible candidates to register for Under Graduate Admission Test (UGAT) 2011. UGAT is an entrance test conducted for admission into the regular degree courses (only) i.e. Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (B Com), Bachelor of Science (B Sc), B Sc (Applied Science) and B Sc (Home Science) of the University of Allahabad and its eight affiliated colleges.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may apply online as well as offline.
To apply online: To apply online candidate can log on to the university’s official website: http://www.alldunivpio.org/ or http://www.auadmission.net/. After filling the basic information, a challan will be generated by the system. Take the printout of this challan and produce this challan to nearest State Bank of India Branch to submit required application fees (Rs 600 for General/OBC candidates and Rs 300 for SC/ST/PH candidates). After depositing fees, bank will mention unique Receipt ID number in challan on all three copies (Bank copy, University copy and Student copy). Now click on the online registration link given on the aforementioned website and fill in the challan details. Take the print out of the filled in application, paste your photograph in the designated space and sign under the given space. Send this duly filled application form along with the original challan (university copy) to “The Director UGAT-2011, Pravesh Bhawan, Chaitham Lines, University of Allahabad, Allahabad-211002latest by April 30, 2011.
To apply offline: Candidates may obtain the OMR Forms and information brochure in person from Pravesh Bhawan,Chaitham Lines, University of Allahabad, Allahabad-21102 (UP) against a cash payment of Rs 600 for General/OBC candidates and Rs 300 for SC/ ST/ PH candidates. Applications are available on all days including holidays between 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. The duly filled in OMR form should be submitted at the counters of Pravesh Bhawan, University of Allahabad, latest by April 24, 2011.
