Calcutta University PhD in Visual Arts Programme 2011 Admission

University of Calcutta, also known as Calcutta University, has invited applications from eligible candidates for into PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) in Visual Arts, offered in the upcoming academic session 2011-12. Admission will be made on the basis of candidate's performance in the written entrance test followed by personal interview conducted by the University. The course is being offered at Govt. College of Art and Craft, Calcutta, 28, Jawaharlal Nehru Road, Kolkata 700 016.
 
Note: Those candidates who have already passed UGC / CSIR (JRF) Examinations / NET / SET/ SLET/ M Phil/ Teacher Fellowship or equivalent examinations need not appear at the written examination and can directly apply to appear at the interview.

How to apply
Interested candidates may apply through prescribed proforma by paying Rs 100 through a challan which can be obtained from College Street Campus (Cash Counter). The prescribed proforma can also be downloaded from College’s official website:  http://www.gcac.edu.in/. The duly filled in proforma should be submitted latest by August 23, 2011.
