Note: Financial aid (Assistantship/scholarship) is provided for PhD programme as per rule.

How to apply
Interested candidates may download the application form from the website: http://www.iiserbhopal.ac.in/doaa_admissions.htm. However, application forms and detailed information can be obtained free of charge from the Assistant Registrar (Academic), IISER Bhopal, ITI (Gas Rahat) Building, Govindpura, Bhopal 462 023 in person or by sending the request for the same. The requisite documents needed to be sent along with the application form are the attested copies of 10th certificate with DOB, SC/ST/OBC certificate (if applicable), certificate of physical status, sponsorship certificate for sponsored candidates, GATE/CSIR/UGC score card, mark/grade sheets, No Objection/relieving Certificate from employer (for employed candidates), Two letters of reference and two self addressed envelopes of 23cm X 10cm.
The application fee is of Rs 200 (for General/OBC category) and Rs 100 (for SC/ST/PH category) which is too sent along in the form of a DD. The DD should be drawn in the favor of “Director, IISER Bhopal” payable at Bhopal. The duly filled application form along with the requisite enclosures and DD has to be sent to “Coordinator, Academic Affairs, Indian Institute of Science Education & Research Bhopal, ITI (Gas Rahat) Building, Govindpura, Bhopal – 462 023” latest by May 2, 2011. Note: Letter of Reference must be sent in sealed envelopes by the referees and separate application must be sent for each programme.
