Indian Institute of Science Education & Research (IISER) Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into the following areas of PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) programme, to be offered in the session commencing from December 2011.
Areas of PhD programme offered:
- Biological Sciences
- Chemical Sciences
- Earth & Environmental Sciences
- Mathematical Sciences
- Physical Sciences
Note: Candidates with M Tech, ME, M Pharm, or other professional degrees who got admission into these programmes through GATE are directly eligible for PhD without a valid GATE score.

How to Apply
Interested candidates can download the prescribed application form from the Institute's official website: http://www.iiserbhopal.ac.in/. The application fee is Rs 200 (for General/OBC) and Rs 100 (SC/ST/PH) which is to be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of The Director, IISER Bhopal, payable at Bhopal. The duly filled in and completed application form, along with prescribed DD and other requisite documents, should be sent to the below given address, latest by November 4, 2011.
